Chill out at a traditional hammam. This impressive steam bath and lovely Arabic tea-room adjoins the 1930’s era mosque built for the Muslim community of Paris in recognition of their contribution to France in WW1.
The beautiful cafe/restaurant is cosy in winter while the terrace is breezy in summer – the relaxed atmosphere combined with delicious mint tea offers a real refuge from the hustle of Paris’ crowded streets.
The hammam operates different days for men and women. Inside the main activities are lying around on a marble slab in a torpor, covering yourself with mud, attacking yourself with a loufa and dousing yourself with cooling water.
