We love Butterfly roofs so we couldn’t resist adding this lovely holiday home to our list…
Designed by Kreisel and built by the Alexander building company, this 3 bedroom house that sleeps six is another classic modernist example, with a roof line that soars in the middle creating nice volumes and high ceilings.
Situated at the north end of town, the house is very central – a few minutes’ drive from the ‘Forever Marylin’ statue and the strip of shops and restaurants of North Palm Canyon Drive. However it’s in a quiet neighborhood and the house is very private.
What We Love
It is special to stay in a quintessential modernist house and this one is beautiful, well maintained and very functional. It’s been decorated with an upbeat vintage feel and is great to share, as each bedroom has a bathroom and there is an even a separate ‘casita’ with kitchen at the back. Bonus: the pool is saltwater. It is the perfect place to unwind and sip a martini while watching the sunset over the San Jacinto mountains.
