Looking over the cute St Johns Square and accessed through an unmarked green door, the cocktail lounge of the Zetter Town House hotel has  the exquisite charm of a 100 years-old country mansion – it’s cosy (comfy leather couches, open fireplaces) and terribly eccentric in a British sense – large family portrait paintings and hunting trophies displayed alongside strange oddities (our favorite is the weird stuffed cat in the blue dress).

The in-house cocktails created by acclaimed bartender Tony Conigliaro are all fabulous, if you are in a cheerful mood try the Twinkle (vodka, elderflower liqueur, champagne) Goths should go Les Fleurs du Mal (vodka, absinthe, lemon juice and orange zest). We love the fact that you can also snack on a selection of delicious (and cheap) small plates and supper bowls prepared by the Brunot Loubet kitchen across the square. Note: it can get busy so try to book a table.
